Please support this wonderful opportunity for young musicians to learn and perform exciting and challenging classical music.Because of cutbacks in school music programs, the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony is currently the only full orchestra for children and young adults in Santa Cruz County. We are reaching out to the Santa Cruz community to spread the word about our talented young musicians and to find support for what is truly a unique community resource.

Annual Fund
Annual fund gifts are extremely important to helping SCCYS close the gap between registration and other fees and actual operational costs. Gifts received from annual appeals or solicitations are used to meet operating expenses such as music programming, financial aid, rehearsal space rental, concert production costs, workshops, music and instrument maintenance.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations support their employees by matching gifts to non-profits of their choice. Please check with your company to see if they have a matching program and a form you may send in with your gift to SCCYS. This is a relatively easy way to increase your impact on our programs.

Named Gifts
Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of someone special. Note cards advising the honoree or family members of your gift can be mailed at the time a gift is received by SCCYS if proper contact information is provided with your gift.

New Leaf Shopping Cards
If you purchase prepaid New Leaf card through SCCYS, we receive 5% of the funds!  It is simple, easy, and there are no additional costs to you.  Purchase your cards through SCCYS and use them at your local New Leaf grocery store.  For more information, please see our Other Ways to Give page.

Good Search / Good Shop
Surf the net or shop online and SCCYS earns one cent for every single web search you do throughout the day, plus a percentage for each online purchase from a participating merchant.  If 1,000 people search 10 times a day, roughly $36,500 will be raised in a year for SCCYS, without anyone spending a dime.  Download the toolbar for your browser and the app for your smartphone, and select the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony as your non-profit of choice.

Donate a Car
If you have a vehicle, running or not, that you would like to get rid of, consider our vehicle donation program.

Volunteer
Your unique set of skills can help the Youth Symphony reach out to other possible students or bring community awareness to the organization.  Maybe you have a gifted creative side and would like to help us in our event planning.  Whatever your skills or interests may be, please consider volunteering some of your time to help us build our momentum as we approach our 50th year anniversary.  Please contact info@sccys.org for more information.

Concert Program Advertisements

A Worthy Beneficiary
You can make a significant contribution to SCCYS and receive considerable tax advantages by designating the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, retirement plan or insurance policy. It is a way to enjoy the benefits of giving while retaining full use of your property.

Attend All Our Concerts
Your attendance to our concerts is appreciated by all.  Our students feel your support and interest in their hard work and your ticket purchases help the organization continue to exist.  Please attend all our concerts and bring family and friends!
